Not just the big milestones, but the quiet ones: the way you reach for my hand, the way you study the world with so much trust, the way you mess up, breathe, and try again. Those tiny details hit me the hardest.
Somewhere along the way, I realized you’re not just growing—I am too. You’ve been showing me patience on a level I didn’t know I needed. You’ve made me more intentional with my words, my energy, how I show up. You remind me of what wonder feels like. What curiosity sounds like. What unconditional love looks like in real time.
Every so often, I stop and really see you—not the little baby I used to carry, but a young man becoming himself. Someone shaped by my example but not defined by it. Someone who will walk into the world with pieces of me stitched quietly into his character.
There’s something grounding about that. Humbling. Something that makes me want to level up—not out of pressure, but out of love.
